Are you an adult who is considering getting braces? Perhaps you’ve had them before, but over the years that dental work has been reversed. Or maybe you’ve never had any orthodontic work done, but are considering braces for the first time. In either case, Dr. Hildebrand can help you enjoy straighter teeth, an improved bite, and a more beautiful smile.

Something we hear our patients say all the time is, “I don’t want to be seen with braces at my age.” Thankfully, you now have multiple options for treatment! In addition to clear aligners—which drastically reduces the visibility of your braces—there are also options like Invisalign which uses clear aligners that won’t irritate your mouth and gums and are nearly invisible. In addition to not being seen, you don’t have to worry about avoiding foods or brushing and flossing because you can take them out whenever you need to.

You may be thinking to yourself, “I’m already and adult and am doing just fine with my smile.” Well, the benefits of having a straight smile as an adult are well worth it!

Having straight teeth gives you healthier teeth and gums. Having teeth that are too crowded or far apart can lead to red or swollen gums—which may be signs of periodontal disease. When teeth are properly aligned, it helps the gums fit more securely around the teeth, allowing for the strongest and healthiest defense against potential periodontal problems. Having healthy teeth and gums also leads to overall improved health. Poor oral health has been linked to more serious issues such as heart disease, stroke, pneumonia, and diabetes.

If these reasons aren’t enough, you will also increase your self-esteem with your brand new smile! It’s never too late to fix your teeth. According to recent reports, over 1 million adults are currently undergoing orthodontic treatment!

We even have a private adult treatment room!
